Because they are a valued and valuable part of our community, Reno and Sparks, Washoe County, UNR, and the State of Nevada have numerous services and programs for our senior citizens.

Volunteer with City of Reno Senior Services
Opportunities include assisting with monthly mailing, senior fairs, and special evens such as dances and the Sierra Nevada Senior Games. For more information on these programs, or if you are interested in volunteering, please call 356-3176 for more information.

Senior Connection Newsletter
This free monthly newsletter contains information about community events, programs, classes, and editorials of particular interest to community members age 55 and better. It is available online at City of Reno Senior Programs, and can be picked up at many Reno recreation facilities, including Northeast Community Center, Teglia’s Paradise Park Activity Center, Southside Administration Offices and online the McKinley Arts & Culture Center.
