2021 Polar Express on the V&T Railroad

The Polar Express™ for the 2021 Christmas holiday season will visit the North Pole on select dates from November 19 through December 24. The Polar Express™ sells out every year. Get tickets as soon as possible if you want to ensure the best seats, date, and time for your family and/or group. Candy Cane Express Trains on the V&T Railroad

November 26, 27 and December 4, 5, 11, 12, 18, 19, 2021. There will be three trains each day departing from the Virginia City depot (166 F Street), at 11:30 a.m., 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. On the scenic 50-minute journey over the 150-year old V&T railroad route, you will enjoy hot cocoa or cider, candy canes & cookies, and sing-a-long carols on the festively decorated train. Masks required. Children four and under are free if they sit on a parent's lap. Reservations required - buy tickets online. For more information, call (775) 847-0380.

Santa Trains at the Nevada State Railroad Museum

Saturday and Sunday, December 4 - 5, 11 - 12, 18 - 19, 2021. Come ride the festive steam train during the Christmas holiday season at the Nevada State Railroad Museum in Carson City. You can visit with Santa aboard the train and write a letter to Santa at the "Letters to Santa" table. Buy raffle tickets supporting the Friends of the Nevada State Railroad Museum to win great prizes. Tickets are $5 for all riders; children under 3 are free. No reservations needed, but you can purchase advance tickets online. Santa Trains will run every half hour from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Santa's Reindeer Flyer on the Nevada Northern Railway in Ely

November 20, 26, 27, and December 3, 4, 10, 11, 12, 13, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 22, 23, 26, 27, 28, 2021. This magical family adventure travels to see, meet, and ride with Santa at the North Pole. Along the way we will meet a lively bunch of Santa's helpers, including Santa's elves. We will all be served hot chocolate and cookies while singing along with all of the holiday favorites that we know and love. Everyone will experience that magic moment when the train arrives at the North Pole, where Santa Claus himself will join us. Santa will board the train and personally present each child their own special gift so they can always remember the sprit of Christmas, and their Christmas train ride on Santa's Reindeer Flyer. Tickets are $40 for adults, $20 for kids ages 4 to 12, and free for children under 4. Visit the web page for train ride dates, times, and to get tickets online. November 26 to December 19, 2021. Wednesday to Friday departures at 3:30 p.m., 5 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday departures at 2 p.m., 3:30 p.m., 5 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. The evening begins in our passenger station where you will be entertained by Polar Express characters, enjoy hot chocolate and a sweet treat courtesy of our hot chocolate chefs, and then board your train to the North Pole. Once you reach the North Pole, Santa himself will come on board to give each passenger the first gift of Christmas, a silver sleigh bell.
