Because I've had to make several trips over to the C place this year, I've returned to Reno on I-80 numerous times the last few months. When I first saw graffiti on the downtown exit big green sign, I didn't think much about it, figuring it would disappear, what with being in such a prominent place.

Well, as of 7/23/07, it's still there, giving eastbound travelers a wonderful first impression of our city. Yes, we love this place, so much that we want you to know we don't bother to clean up after destructive vandals and take serious steps to prevent such public defacements. We're also not concerned that you may proceed to miss your exit and get lost because you couldn't read the sign.

A phone call to the city revealed that yes, this has been reported to the Nevada Dept. of Transportation (NDOT, the state agency responsible for maintaining Nevada's stretches of interstate highways). So NDOT, how about getting that fixed. And while you're at it, put up a little more barrier fencing and keep it from happening again.
