I check my spam filter occasionally for messages it may have caught that I really want (it happens). During one such session, it dawned on me that some of this stuff is funny. Yes, there is a humorous side to spam, which is small compensation for its vast volume (according to Forbes, 64.8% of worldwide email traffic in June was spam). Reproduced here are actual subject lines and sender names gleaned from the bottom of my spam barrel. I almost feel sorry for whoever is paying to have this crap broadcast, but not quite.
