Artown, held the entire month of July 2007 in Reno, Nevada, has succeeded once again in maintaining its stature as one of the largest and most inclusive arts and culture festivals in the country by setting a record attendance during its 31-day celebration.
Artown, in collaboration with more than 100 organizations, brings to life theater, dance, film, history, multi-cultural, musical and visual and performing arts activities and events as well as dozens of children's activities aimed at educating youth on the importance of the arts. In 2007, Artown's performances focused on 15 distinct cultures and offered free admission to 68 percent of its events.
