Bully's Free Thanksgiving Dinners & Coat Drive for the Boys & Girls Club - Nov. 25 - 26, 2009

Reno, NV - Join Bully's Sports Bar & Grill in kick-starting the holiday season by enjoying a free Thanksgiving dinner and donating to those less fortunate. This year, in addition to hosting its annual free Thanksgiving dinners on Wednesday and Thursday, Nov. 25 and 26, All Bully's locations are currently accepting donations of jackets, gloves, and hats to benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows, through Nov. 25. All items collected will be presented to the Club during the Thanksgiving Eve dinner at its east Ninth Street facility.

Mitch International Jazz Experience at Moody's & Baxter's - Nov. 27 - 28, 2009

Truckee, CA - Gerardo Balestrieri, who recently won second place in Italy's national competition for best CD of 2009, will bring his internationally acclaimed ensemble "Les Travailleurs de La Nuit" (The Night Workers) to Moody's Bistro & Lounge on Friday, November 27 and Baxter's Bistro & Lounge on Saturday, November 28 for two free shows.

Fleischmann Planetarium Announces a Stellar Lineup of Films, Star Shows, and More - Fall, 2009

Reno, NV - "Dinosaurs Alive," "Ride Around the World," "Two Small Pieces of Glass," "Extreme Planets" and more featured through Jan. 10, 2010 - many showing daily

Fleischmann Planetarium and Science Center at the University of Nevada, Reno offers several breathtaking immersive theater experiences in Fall 2009 - including the large-format feature films "Dinosaurs Alive" and "Ride Around the World," as well as two full-dome digital shows: "Two Small Pieces of Glass," presented as part of the International Year of Astronomy 2009, and "Extreme Planets," back by popular demand. In addition to other featured shows, Fleischmann Planetarium will offer weekly showings of the full-dome HD digital rock 'n' roll masterpiece, "The Wall."

The Planetarium Exhibit Hall museum contains permanent exhibits including large-scale rotating Earth and Moon globes, a black hole demonstrator and the largest collection of meteorites in the state. The Planetarium is currently hosting an exhibition created by the University's Department of Psychology exploring visual perception. Exhibitions are free.

Fleischmann Planetarium and Science Center is located north of Lawlor Events Center on Virginia and 16th streets, on the University of Nevada, Reno campus. Seasonal Arts Events at the University of Nevada, Reno - November & December, 2009

Reno, NV - The School of the Arts at the University of Nevada, Reno presents world-class offerings from guest artists and performers, as well as faculty and students within the school's departments of art, dance, music, theatre and visual arts. Most arts365 performances and exhibits take place in the Church Fine Arts Building on the University campus - many are free and all are open to the community.

Free parking is available after 7 p.m. in the Brian Whalen Parking Complex, north of Church Fine Arts, and in the Sierra Street Parking Complex, one block west of North Virginia Street between 11th Street and College Drive. A patron drop-off area is adjacent to Nightingale Concert Hall on North Virginia Street near College Drive.

Tickets are available (without a convenience fee) at the campus' Lawlor Events Center, 1500 N. Virginia St., lower level entrance, Monday - Friday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m.- 1 pm.; or at the Church Fine Arts Building box office on campus, one hour prior to performances. River Walk Wine Walk - Visit the historic Lake Mansion

The Riverwalk Merchant's Association is pleased to bring you Wine Walk on the Riverwalk, the third Saturday of every month from 2 PM - 5 PM. Customers can purchase a MAP and WINE GLASS for $15 and taste over a dozen different wines at merchants throughout the River Walk. VSA Arts of Nevada will also be open to the public during each wine walk for those who are interested in the Lake Mansion, volunteers from HRPS (Historic Reno Preservation Society) will be available for a mini-tour of the historic mansion.
